Accomodations

Our wedding will be at Squirrel Creek Ranch in Grass Valley, just ten minutes from Shane's hometown of Nevada City, California. Grass Valley and Nevada City are historic gold mining towns that have a lot to offer (check out the activities page!).  Accommodations tend to book up quickly for the summer season so we recommend that you make your reservations as far in advance as possible. The weather in August is usually hot and dry during the day, be sure to bring water bottles and sun screen! The nights can be cooler and the occasional summer thunderstorm is a possibility, so be prepared. Be sure to bring swim suits and outdoor clothes.

• From San Francisco:  It's about a 2.5 hour drive North.  Check out directions here.
• From the Sacramento Airport:  Approximately 1hr 15 mins with good traffic.  Directions are here.
• From the Reno Airport:  A 1.5 hour beautiful drive to Nevada City.  Directions here.

Accommodations
Camping:
One of the main reasons we chose Squirrel Creek Ranch is for its relaxed atmosphere, including plenty of camping space for any of our guests who may be interested! If you have camping gear and don't mind cold outdoor shower and using portable toilets, we encourage you to camp at the ranch with us!

Nevada City
Nevada City is about 10 minutes away from the wedding location. If you are staying the weekend, we encourage you to find a place in Nevada City. It's a funky, cute, little town with lots of great shops, bars, and a farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

The Outside Inn:
The outside inn is a cute, affordable inn located in the heart of Nevada City. The rooms are booked under Kerri's name, so please contact Kerri (kerrifjeld@gmail.com) if you would like a room here.

The National Hotel
Also in the heart of the town, this is hotel offers a historical, Old-Western feel with fun rooms. We have reserved a block of rooms so just say our names to ensure availability.

The Broad Street Inn
A short walk from downtown, this is a very cute B&B. Make sure to call early to get a reservation.

The Northern Queen Inn
A short walk to downtown Nevada City.

Grass Valley
Grass Valley is closer to the wedding venue.  If you would like a convenient location for Saturday evening, see the places described below.

The Holbrooke
The Holbrooke is a charming, old gold mining hotel, minutes from the wedding venue.  This place offers a 10% discount for our guests.
